Amber glass absorbs the most comprehensive range of light waves and protects the product from UV light. This is important because UV rays can sometimes affect the stability of the product by changing the composition of the ingredients.

Our Registered Pharmacist
Our pharmacist, Ellis Henen graduated from Rhodes University in 1963 with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. After arriving in Cape Town, in 1964 he set up a night pharmacy in Sea Point Cape Town. The pharmacy operates at Sea Point Medical Centre and has celebrated its 58th anniversary.
In 1981, Ellis Henen earned a Master’s degree in Business Leadership. In the 1980’s, he served as an external examiner for the Technikon’s Pharmacy Business Practice program. It was during the 1990’s that he launched the Private Label Vitamin range for South African Druggists and Link Voluntary Chain of Pharmacies.
During the late 1990’s he began developing the Biolife vitamin range and launched the first product early in 2004, with other products following at regular intervals.
It was at this point that Biolife Nutrition was founded.
